He almost succumbed to a stroke a few months ago. His family moved to Indiana in December and he is now experiencing speedy recovery. He said that Paul had a stroke in July of 2006 and has been in physical therapy and recovered significantly from the stroke. In fact, he can now drive around. Kuo-liang is not sure about their financial situation. It is possible Paul and his wife receive some retirement fund from the church group, but not from Tunghai. I am not sure if they receive social security or not. My impression is that they own the house in NC and try to sell it and move permanently to IN to be with their family and friends. I am sure they are happy to see or hear from any Biol graduates.
